This is what, this night, I would share with you. I tell it from experience; and then, from then on, when I have found a crisis in my life, I have applied it. I do not live by it every second of time because I am fairly satisfied with the life I live; and so there is no need for constant change in my life, but there are moments in the lives of all of us where we reach a crisis, and then you have to take action if you know who Christ is. * "Das Thema des heutigen Abends ist: Viele Wohnungen. Vielleicht kennen Sie das Thema aus dem 14. Kapitel des Johannesevangeliums: ''Euer Herz erschrecke nicht! Glaubt an Gott und glaubt an mich! In meines Vaters Hause sind viele Wohnungen. Wenn’s nicht so wäre, hätte ich dann zu euch gesagt: Ich gehe hin, euch die Stätte zu bereiten? Und wenn ich hingehe, euch die Stätte zu bereiten, will ich wiederkommen und euch zu mir nehmen, auf dass auch ihr seid, wo ich bin.'' (Johannes 14,1-3) Wer ist nun derjenige, der hier spricht? Die Heilige Schrift sagt uns, dass es Jesus Christus ist. Das Kapitel bekräftigt dies."
* "Heute Abend werden wir uns also mit diesem großen Geheimnis beschäftigen, denn es ist ein Geheimnis. Paulus verwendet das Wort "Geheimnis" in Bezug auf diese Geschichte Christi nicht weniger als zwanzig Mal. Er sagte: "Groß ist das Geheimnis ...". In allen seinen Briefen spricht er von dem Geheimnis. Es handelt sich nicht um Geschichte, denn Geschichte ist kein Geheimnis; sie ist einfach eine Aufzeichnung der Tatsachen. Nun, dies ist keine Aufzeichnung von Fakten weltlicher Natur, denn die Bibel ist keine weltliche Geschichte. Sie ist Heilsgeschichte.
Was sind nun diese "Häuser", von denen hier die Rede ist? Es sind Zustände. Alle Zustände sind ewig, und sie existieren jetzt. Alle Zustände existieren in der menschlichen Vorstellungskraft, und die menschliche Vorstellungskraft ist der Herr Jesus Christus. Das ist Gott. Es gibt keinen anderen Gott. Und alle Dinge existieren jetzt in ihm!
Der erste schöpferische Akt, der in der Heiligen Schrift aufgezeichnet ist, findet sich im zweiten Vers des ersten Kapitels der Genesis: "... und der Geist Gottes bewegte sich..." Was auch immer geschieht, ist diese Bewegung in Gott. Und Gott ist unsere eigene wunderbare, menschliche Vorstellungskraft. Was auch immer geschieht, ist also einfach eine Bewegung in Gott. Wie bewegt er sich nun? Das ist das Geheimnis: wie man in diese Zustände hineingeht und sie real macht, sie in unserer Welt lebendig werden lässt. Es ist ein sehr einfacher Prozess ... sehr einfach ... aber Sie und ich müssen handeln, um es zu tun. Es wird nicht von selbst geschehen; wir müssen es tun. Wenn wir uns in den Zustand hineinbegeben und uns mit dem Zustand bekleiden, dann nimmt der Zustand einen äußeren Ton an und wird für uns objektiv, so wie dieser Raum jetzt objektiv ist, weil wir uns in ihm befinden. All diese Zustände sind genauso real wie dieser Raum, sobald wir sie einnehmen. Im Haus meines Vaters gibt es also viele Wohnungen", unzählige Wohnungen. "In meines Vaters Hause sind viele Wohnungen. Wenn’s nicht so wäre, hätte ich dann zu euch gesagt: Ich gehe hin, euch die Stätte zu bereiten? 3 Und wenn ich hingehe, euch die Stätte zu bereiten, will ich wiederkommen und euch zu mir nehmen, auf dass auch ihr seid, wo ich bin." (Johannes 14: 2,3)"

* "Tonight’s subject is: Many Mansions. You may be familiar with the subject from the 14th chapter of the book of John: “Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. Were it not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And when I go, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3, Moffatt’s translation) Now, who is this one speaking? Scripture tells us it is Jesus Christ. The chapter affirms it."
* So tonight, we will go into this great mystery . . for it is a mystery. Paul uses the word “mystery” concerning this story of Christ no less than twenty-odd times. He said: “Great is the mystery . . .” All through his letters he is speaking of the mystery. It is not history, for history is not a mystery; it is simply a record of the facts. Well, this is not a record of the facts of a secular nature, for the Bible is not secular history. It’s salvation history.
So here, what are these “mansions” spoken of? They are states. All states are eternal, and they exist now. All states exist in the human Imagination, and the human Imagination is the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s God. There is no other God. And all things exist in him now!
We have to make the adjustment: think of an infinite number of states . . anything you can think of . . it exists now. Man passes through states, like a traveler who passes through places, through cities. Well, the man who is passing through a state, like the traveler who is passing through a place, may suppose that the place that he has passed through exists no more, as a man passing through a state thinks the state through which he has passed exists no more. Wouldn’t it be silly when I leave this city to feel that because I have departed, that the city has ceased to exist? They remain for anyone to enter, and when they are in it, it seems to be the only reality and everything else in the world seems a mere shadow. When you enter into a city or a state, that state seems to be the only substance. Every state in the world exists now.
Now, the first creative act recorded in Scripture is in the second verse of the 1st chapter of Genesis: ..and the Spirit of God moved… ” Whatever takes place is that movement within God.
And God is our own wonderful, human Imagination. So whatever takes place is simply movement within God. How does He now move? That’s the secret: how to go into these states and make them real, make them alive in our world. It’s a very simple process . . very simple . . but you and I have to act to do it. It won’t do it itself; we have to do it. When we move into the state and clothe ourselves with the state, the state then takes on an external tone and becomes objective to our sight, as this room is now objective because we’re in it. All these states are just as real as this room once we occupy them. So, “in my Father’s house are many mansions,” numberless mansions. “Were it not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go. I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there ye shall be also.” (John 14: 2, 3)"
